One two star and one three star restaurant are brought into the ancient traditional ceremony of moving the cows from valley to high pasture in and around the tiny village of Aubrac at the foot of the Massif Central. Wonderful flower filled pastures on the heights of the magic moorlands.
Fairytale France Dordogne

The Dordogne river flows through the Lot region of France in a fairytale fashion. The cliff-lined valley is sprinkled with beautiful chateaux, prehistoric caves and timeless villages. This is another part of hidden France that I delight in showing you! You finish the week at Chateau de la Treyne, a relais chateau perched above the river. We end the week in their one star Michelin restaurant.

This itinerary of ten days is quite derring-do and requires a certain amount of fitness and mental strength! You are in a very remote part of Georgia here. It is mysterious and secret with many ancient traditions still followed. The Caucasus mountains rise all around so we climb and descend all day. A very beautiful part of the world. It is only open for four months of the year. I have had all ages doing this one.

Treading the Grape

Mini Constant, Master of Wine will be with us all week plus a chef to take care of dinners and breakfasts! The grape picking should be over in the main but the picking for the sweet white wines will still be happening. This allows us time we hope for a few minutes with the great wine makers themselves. Walking through vineyards and visiting some fabulous chateaux. Always advisable to drive down for this one to be able to return to the UK with some wine!

Samburu, Kilifi
Morning walks through the most stunning remote scenery of Kenya up in the Samburu. Lots of elephants in the area this year. Finish with the sound of the Indian Ocean at Malindi. An idyllic awe-inspiring two weeks for family groups. A life-time memory. We came from here between two million and three hundred thousand years ago … you feel like you walk as they did … What an experience!
